On Saturday 10 March 2012 I was lucky enough to attend the Boot Out Breast Cancer "Back to the 80s" Charity Ball at The Point, Lancashire Cricket Ground, Old Trafford, Manchester. Heaven 17 and Go West provided the entertainment and the official DJ for the night was BBC Radio 1's Nihal

It was a fantastic night; the wonderful Debbie Dowie and Co. did an amazing job!!

A huge amount of money was raised, I believe to be in excess of £50,000, to purchase some much needed equipment for the Breakthrough Research Centre (next to Christies), but we can't stop there!

Please do take some time out to have at look at their website and the important work they do. Remember that any donation, big or small, will be much appreciated and will make a real difference!! http://www.bootoutbreastcancer.org.uk/

Sue Ryder Care is a national charity providing health and social care services in local communities.

They will be holding a charity bake sale at their shop in Ashton-on-Mersey village (Green Lane, Sale, M33 5PN) on Saturday 11 February 2012.  The Cupcake Box has, along with others, donated some cupcakes to be sold in a effort to raise further funds for the charity.

Why not show your support and pop along!
